The Marangu route is the oldest and most established route. Often called the 'Coca-Cola' route because it's considered the easiest path (in terms of gradient), it is the only route that offers dormitory-style hut accommodations instead of tents. While the path is less steep, the shorter duration makes acclimatization more challenging.
